Role Mission

Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Brand & Equity, the Senior Director of Creative Strategy for Consumer Beauty will spearhead creative strategy initiatives across Coty's iconic brands within the Color Cosmetics and Mass Scenting segments. This critical position harmonizes strategic thinking with creative execution, crafting innovative strategies rooted in consumer insights, cultural trends, and imaginative concepts.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead creative strategy development for the Consumer Beauty portfolio's renowned brands.
  • Produce disruptive and consumer insight-driven creative strategies and collaborate closely with creative teams to develop compelling concepts.
  • Craft concise, provocative, and clear messaging across presentations, scripts, and campaign narratives.
  • Facilitate creative and brand teams to recognize and refine standout ideas amidst multifaceted creative development.
  • Develop innovative product claims blending traditional and contemporary approaches to capture audience attention.
  • Guide strategy across color cosmetics, personal care, nail products, and mass scenting/fragrance sectors.
  • Adopt a social-first mindset to effectively build brands within current Meta-driven digital landscapes.
  • Maintain acute awareness of global cultural trends, with proficiency in both U.S. and European beauty markets.
  • Demonstrate pragmatic decision-making; prioritize impactful and accessible concepts over overly sophisticated ones.
  • Participate actively and hands-on without hesitation, reducing burden on senior leadership.

Candidate Profile

  • Over 15 years of experience as a creative strategist within agencies or in-house brand teams.
  • Global perspective with strong knowledge of beauty markets, especially in the U.S. and Europe.
  • Proficient in TikTok and other social platforms; adept in digital and cultural trends.
  • Consumer-centric thinker with ability to co-create across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills suitable for various organizational levels and external partners.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit coupled with a hands-on, action-oriented approach.
  • Thrives under pressure and adapts rapidly to changing business and brand environments.
  • Experienced in contemporary beauty industry dynamics rather than traditional frameworks.
  • Keen aesthetic judgment ensuring brand consistency, strategic alignment, and effectiveness validated by market research and performance metrics.

Required Skills

  • Strong creative thinking, self-motivation, and drive.
  • Digital literacy with sharp cultural awareness.
  • Extensive knowledge of UK, European, and global mass consumer beauty categories, especially color cosmetics and fragrances.
  • Ability to operate effectively within international business settings.

This position is based in Coty's Wimbledon office with a flexible omni-working policy enabling approximately 50% remote work and 50% on-site presence.
