Job description

About Roku

Roku is a leading TV streaming platform in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, with a mission to power every television in the world. The company helped pioneer streaming on TV and connects viewers to the entertainment they want, content publishers with large audiences, and advertisers with ways to reach consumers effectively. Roku is a fast-growing public company where employees are expected to contribute meaningfully from day one.

About the team

The Content Platform & Intelligence team is responsible for the systems and intelligence that support Roku’s global Sports, Live, and VOD experiences. The team ingests and enriches partner catalogs at scale, maintains rights-accurate availability, and supports core product experiences such as Search, Browse, and Recommendations. Strong metadata quality, reliability, and performance are central to the team’s work.

Role overview

Roku is looking for a highly analytical and commercially aware Senior Customer Intelligence Analyst who can turn customer behavior data into business decisions. This person will develop insights, shape narratives, surface opportunities and risks, and present clear recommendations that help guide strategy and shared roadmaps. The role requires solid technical skills in data analysis, but the main emphasis is on producing high-value insight and business impact. The position also encourages the use of modern AI tools to improve analytical efficiency.

Compensation and benefits

For New York, the estimated annual base salary for this role is $127,500 to $170,400. Final compensation is determined by factors such as skills, certifications, and geographic location. Eligible benefits include health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability coverage, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.

Work arrangement

Roku follows a hybrid setup. Teams are generally expected in the office Monday through Thursday, while Fridays are typically flexible for remote work. Some roles or locations may require five days onsite.

What you will do

  • Work closely with leaders in Customer Intelligence and Retention to define key business questions, convert them into analytical work, and provide insights that support decisions.
  • Handle the end-to-end analysis process, from defining the problem and success measures to querying data in SQL, conducting in-depth analysis, drawing conclusions, and presenting clear recommendations.
  • Use business context and knowledge of Roku’s ecosystem to spot strategic opportunities and possible risks.
  • Produce more than standard dashboards by creating presentations, interactive reports, and written analysis that can drive action.
  • Align stakeholders by clarifying goals, assumptions, and decision points, while serving as a trusted partner who ensures outputs are practical and relevant.
  • Write efficient SQL to pull, transform, and analyze large datasets, while collaborating with Data Engineering and Research Data Scientists to understand data structures and maintain data quality.
  • Build dashboards, reports, and presentations in Tableau or Looker that communicate complex findings clearly to technical and executive audiences.
  • Use AI-enabled tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and other LLM-based assistants to automate extraction, speed up analysis, and improve output quality.
  • Interpret outputs from advanced models, causal inference work, and segmentation created by data science teams, and use those insights to guide business strategy.

Candidate profile

This role is best suited to someone with strong analytical judgment, commercial thinking, and the ability to turn data into persuasive, decision-ready stories. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, collaborates well across functions, and is comfortable working with product, marketing, engineering, and data science teams.

Benefits

Roku offers a broad benefits package that may include global mental health and financial wellness support, healthcare options, life insurance, accident coverage, disability benefits, commuter support, and retirement plans such as 401(k) or pension, depending on location and role. Time off is provided in line with local leave policies and personal needs.

Accommodations

Roku provides reasonable accommodations and adjustments in line with applicable law. Candidates who need support during the hiring process can contact EmployeeRelations@Roku.com.

Culture

Roku describes its culture as fast-paced, collaborative, pragmatic, and focused on company success and customer outcomes. The environment values strong problem-solving, bold thinking, humility, humor, and the ability to move quickly while working with trust and teamwork.
