Job description
About Roku
Roku is a leading TV streaming platform in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, and the company aims to power television experiences worldwide. It helped bring streaming to TVs and works to connect viewers with the content they enjoy, help publishers reach and monetize large audiences, and give advertisers effective ways to engage audiences.
From day one, you would be part of a high-growth public company where every team member contributes directly to the mission. Roku offers the chance to make a real impact while building experience across multiple areas of talent acquisition and business partnership.
About the team
Sourcers at Roku act as strategic partners to recruiters, hiring managers, and cross-functional colleagues. They help drive talent acquisition by building candidate pipelines, sharing market intelligence, and shaping how the company attracts strong talent across different functions.
Role overview
As a Sourcer, you will identify, engage, and build relationships with high-quality passive candidates. You will collaborate closely with recruiters and hiring managers, use market insight to guide sourcing strategy, and create targeted approaches to support hard-to-fill hiring needs.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a dependable sourcing partner for recruiters, hiring managers, and other stakeholders within a major business unit.
- Bring strong knowledge of the talent market, pipeline development, and sourcing methods for the assigned area.
- Find senior-level candidates through advanced passive sourcing methods and recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, HireEZ/Gem, GitHub, Google Scholar, and similar tools.
- Use AI tools to streamline sourcing activity, uncover market insights, and strengthen candidate outreach and engagement.
- Own sourcing support for a business unit and build lasting relationships with candidates and internal partners while representing Roku as an employer of choice.
- Focus on creating positive experiences for both hiring managers and candidates in every interaction.
What the company is looking for
- Strong sourcing background with a proven record in highly competitive talent markets.
- Experience in both in-house and agency/RPO environments, especially sourcing technical talent; exposure to corporate and go-to-market hiring is an added advantage.
- Advanced ability to search and identify talent using tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, HireEZ, and Gem, along with modern sourcing practices like Boolean search and AI-assisted search.
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations while working within limited external talent pools.
- Hands-on experience using AI to address practical business problems.
- Detail-oriented mindset and a data-driven approach to sourcing decisions.
Work model
Roku follows a hybrid arrangement. Teams are generally in the office from Monday through Thursday, while Fridays are flexible for remote work unless the role or office policy requires five in-office days.
Benefits
Roku provides a broad benefits package to support employees and their families. Benefits may include access to mental health and financial wellness support, along with local statutory and voluntary options such as healthcare, life, accident, disability, commuter, and retirement benefits. Time off is also supported under local leave policies and personal needs. Availability varies by location and role.
Accommodations
Roku welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and offers reasonable accommodations and adjustments as required by law. Candidates needing support during the hiring process can contact EmployeeRelations@Roku.com.
Culture
Roku values a fast-moving, collaborative environment where people care more about company success than personal credit. The company looks for talented, easy-to-work-with people who stay grounded, think independently, act boldly, and solve problems with a practical mindset. Humor, trust, and teamwork are part of the culture.
