Role overview
This position is part of LinkedIn Marketing Solutions and is focused on managing customer relationships within the growth mid-market segment. The work location may be San Francisco, Chicago, or New York City. The role follows a hybrid model, with time split between home and a LinkedIn office based on team and business needs.
LinkedIn Marketing Solutions supports businesses in improving marketing ROI through products such as native advertising and programmatic channels. The team is also investing in the content marketing ecosystem through thought leadership efforts that aim to capture market opportunity.
What you will do
The Senior Client Solutions Manager will partner with Account Executives to guide clients, improve campaign outcomes, and identify opportunities for additional value and revenue growth. Success in this role depends on strong relationship management, online media knowledge, communication skills, and analytical thinking.
Responsibilities
- Develop strong client partnerships and gain a clear understanding of each client’s business goals and priorities to deliver excellent engagement.
- Review and improve advertising campaigns and marketing programs proactively, then recommend strategies that help clients achieve their objectives.
- Advise clients on targeting, setup, optimization, and reporting, and provide hands-on training when needed.
- Support customer learning through a high-quality onboarding experience and ongoing education as questions arise.
- Improve campaign performance and increase revenue from new advertisers through proactive optimization and upsell opportunities.
- Use technology to deliver performance-driven marketing solutions.
- Guide creative and content development by applying marketing knowledge to improve performance and delivery.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, technical support, product, product marketing, and insights teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth execution.
- Bring customer feedback into product conversations to help shape campaign management tools and better meet client needs.
- Work with the Account Executive to build a strategic plan for the assigned book of business.
- Analyze data and insights to show advertising value, prove ROI, and recommend further optimization and investment.
- Share ideas, best practices, and lessons learned with peers and managers to encourage innovation.
- Continuously grow as a sales professional while contributing to a learning-focused team culture.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in advertising sales, media buying and planning, or related consulting work.
- At least 3 years of experience managing and optimizing auction-based or programmatic campaigns, such as social, Google AdWords, or ad exchange/trading desk environments.
- Background in advertising sales and media account management.
- Understanding of startup go-to-market challenges and growth KPIs.
- Strong analytical capability, including experience with statistical analysis, ROI modeling, and advertising or media analytics.
- Ability to think strategically and deliver consultative, data-backed recommendations.
- Working knowledge of advertising technology and marketing automation.
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines with limited supervision.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating across functions.

Successful candidates should be comfortable managing multiple clients, campaigns, and projects at once, and should be able to use insights to drive performance, growth, and customer success.
Compensation
The on-target earnings range for this role is $145,000 to $222,000. Final compensation depends on factors such as skills, depth of experience, certifications, and the specific work location. Total compensation may also include an annual performance bonus, stock, benefits, and/or other incentive compensation plans.
