Role Overview

We are seeking a Regional Vice President of Sales to lead the establishment and expansion of Cognition’s business operations in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). As the first senior hire in the region, you will spearhead go-to-market strategies, build commercial and governmental partnerships, and develop cross-functional teams covering sales, customer success, engineering, support, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and grow Cognition’s presence across the ANZ region as the inaugural senior representative.
• Manage the country-level profit and loss, hiring, sales operations, and overall operational effectiveness.
• Recruit, lead, and nurture a high-performing local team across multiple disciplines including sales, customer success, engineering, and support.
• Forge and maintain strategic partnerships with enterprise clients and government agencies within ANZ.
• Drive complete sales cycles, directly closing deals and working with partners targeting key enterprise customers.
• Collaborate with global leadership to tailor product-market fit specific to ANZ needs.
• Represent Cognition within the local business and technology communities.
• Develop scalable internal processes to ensure smooth customer onboarding, deployment, and ongoing success.
• Provide continuous feedback to Product and Engineering on localization and feature enhancements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over ten years of leadership experience within Australia and New Zealand, preferably at rapidly expanding software or AI organizations.
• Demonstrated success launching and scaling operations for disruptive software solutions entering new markets.
• Well-established connections and insights into ANZ’s enterprise and government sectors.
• Strong background in enterprise sales, partnerships, and go-to-market initiatives, including closing complex deals.
• A strategic mindset complemented by a hands-on approach to execution.
• Fluent in both Arabic and English languages.
• Proven track record of assembling and managing high-performance cross-functional teams consisting of top-tier talent.
• Genuine enthusiasm for technology innovation and shaping the future workplace.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in artificial intelligence, developer tools, or enterprise software as a service (SaaS).
• Familiarity with engineering or product-driven companies.
• Involvement in high-growth US or international companies expanding into the ANZ market.
