About the Role
This position is for a Sales Engineer with deep security knowledge who can explain how today’s security tools are deployed, why they fall short, and how CrowdStrike’s platform addresses those gaps. The role is based in the UAE and supports the West Africa region.
What You Will Do
- Run technical product demos and presentations for prospects and customers.
- Set up product installations and tailor configurations during proof-of-value engagements.
- Act as the technical link between Product Management and key accounts, relaying product needs and feedback.
- Train the sales organization informally on CrowdStrike technology, competitive positioning, and technical messaging.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to prospects and customers to build confidence and help drive successful outcomes.
Requirements
- Hands-on background in endpoint or network security such as antivirus, EDR, incident response, forensics, SIEM, firewall, HIPS, or IDS.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Ability to explain complex security issues clearly to different audiences.
- Self-directed working style with the ability to operate independently.
- Comfort working with Sales, Marketing, Support, and Engineering as the technical bridge for customers and prospects.
- Excellent speaking and presentation skills, including presenting to senior executives.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant discipline.
- Sales engineering experience or more than 5 years of relevant work experience in West Africa.
- Willingness and ability to travel across the West Africa region as needed.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools or methods to improve decisions, efficiency, workflows, and business results.
- Bonus experience: malware analysis, threat intelligence, or sandbox analysis.
- Bonus experience: scripting or programming with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Bonus experience: virtualization or VDI technologies.
- Bonus experience: major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Bonus knowledge: the OSI model.
- Bonus certifications: CEH, CISSP, OSCP, or SANS.
