About the Role

The Community Correctional Services Division seeks a strategic leader with advanced operational and stakeholder engagement expertise to oversee probation and parole services in the Central Region. This role entails guiding significant initiatives to boost public safety and aid offender reintegration into the community. The Regional Director manages diverse functions such as direct service delivery, provincial program implementation, and partnerships with community and Indigenous organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a dispersed regional team delivering probation, parole supervision, and rehabilitative services.
  • Drive innovation, problem-solving, and continuous improvement ensuring compliance and effective operations.
  • Maintain productive relationships with Indigenous groups, justice partners, community agencies, and government colleagues to ensure client-centered, evidence-based service.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, accessibility, equity, and employee well-being, providing leadership support across geographic locations.

  • Proven capacity to balance strategic direction with operational management delivering measurable results.
  • Experience motivating and developing high-performing teams in demanding public-facing environments.
  • Track record leading transformational change and adopting innovative service models to enhance outcomes.

Relationship and Political Skills

Operational Expertise

  • Express complex operational issues clearly to senior decision-makers.
