About the Role
For a manufacturing client based in Steinhude, we are seeking a Payroll Specialist to take ownership of end-to-end payroll operations. The role offers a strong HR-focused environment with access to broad support throughout the hiring process and regular updates along the way.
Responsibilities
- Run complete payroll processing, including year-end closing tasks and occupational pension administration for approximately 160 employees.
- Act as the go-to contact, both internally and externally, for payroll-related, wage tax, and social insurance matters.
- Support audits by tax authorities and social insurance institutions, including payroll and company inspections.
- Maintain master data and transactional employee data in payroll and time-management systems.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of HR reporting.
- Participate in process optimization and digital transformation initiatives.
Requirements
- Completed commercial vocational training, ideally complemented by additional qualifications in human resources management.
- Solid experience in payroll accounting, along with sound knowledge of wage tax, social security, and employment law.
- Practical familiarity with time-tracking systems, MS Office, and Hansalog.
