They are seeking a Payroll Officer to support the timely delivery of their fortnightly payroll.
Employment details
- 12-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent
- Based in Melbourne CBD
- Flexible work arrangement: 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home
Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Payroll Manager and working as part of a large team, you will manage a broad range of payroll tasks, including:
- Running a fortnightly payroll for around 5,000 employees
- Handling employee exits, redundancy payments, and entity-related changes
- Managing escalated payroll enquiries quickly and accurately
- Maintaining and updating the payroll system
- Keeping payroll records accurate and current
- Preparing leave, sick leave, and overtime reports
- Producing reports to satisfy internal and statutory requirements
- Processing payroll variations, pay increases, and back pay calculations
- Preparing and paying superannuation, workers compensation, and other payroll deductions
- Supporting efficient administrative processes and systems
- Identifying ways to improve payroll processes, policies, and procedures, and sharing ideas with the wider payroll team
