Role overview

As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will take ownership of monthly payroll processing and ensure that all salary and wage runs are completed accurately and on time within the HR management system SAP HCM. The role also includes payroll-related support for foreign business locations.

What you will do

  • Run monthly payroll independently and on schedule.
  • Handle all connected payroll administration tasks with care and precision.
  • Manage reporting and certification processes related to payroll.
  • Work closely with social insurance institutions, government bodies, and other external partners.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable contact for employees, managers, and external stakeholders on payroll matters.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth information exchange and reliable payroll operations.
  • Support the mentoring and professional guidance of other team members when needed.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement and digital transformation of payroll processes.

You should bring several years of practical experience in payroll administration and a strong interest in streamlining processes and advancing digital workflows. Confidence in working with payroll systems such as SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, or similar platforms is expected. The role suits someone who enjoys both teamwork and independent, analytical work. A structured, careful, and dependable way of working is important, along with strong communication skills, empathy, and a service-minded approach. Very good German and English skills are required.
