Role Overview
This full-time Accountant position is responsible for managing everyday financial activity, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The role covers routine bookkeeping as well as financial analysis and reporting, while coordinating with legal and administrative colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily accounting tasks such as bookkeeping, maintaining the general ledger, reconciling bank accounts, and monitoring accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Support annual budgeting activities, keep track of cash flow, and help apply effective cost-control practices.
- Ensure adherence to UAE VAT requirements, including correct preparation, filing, and reporting, along with compliance with local financial rules.
- Prepare financial statements and invoices on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; ACCA, CPA, or CMA certification is considered an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services setting.
- Strong hands-on experience with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and financial analysis functions.
- Good understanding of UAE VAT and related tax regulations.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical capability, and polished professional communication skills.
