Overview
Eden Medical Clinic is seeking a highly capable Patient Coordinator to provide exceptional administrative support and foster a welcoming environment for patients at our new Wexford clinic opening in July/August. The role requires excellent communication skills and flexibility to work three days a week, including weekends and evenings.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage scheduling effectively by handling appointments, responding to patient inquiries via phone, messages, and emails, and promptly filling any cancellations using a priority list.
- Maintain patient communications through calls, messages, and emails while delivering outstanding customer service that ensures patients feel welcomed, comfortable, and well cared for throughout their visit.
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures, listen attentively to patient concerns, and support issue resolution.
- Support the wider team by providing coverage for absent colleagues and flexible leave arrangements, including possible work at alternative clinic locations with travel and accommodation expenses reimbursed.
- Oversee clinic cleanliness and stock management through regular inventory checks and coordinating supply orders with management.
- Adhere strictly to clinic policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols, personal protective equipment use, team collaboration, and data protection regulations (GDPR).
- Perform all opening and closing duties of the clinic and any other reasonable tasks assigned by management.

Experience and Education
- Minimum of three years’ experience in customer service; experience in a clinical setting is advantageous.
- Familiarity with key performance indicators (KPIs) is preferred.
- Education level equivalent to Leaving Certificate; qualifications in Medical Administration or Dental Nursing are beneficial.
Additional Information
- The role is initially part-time with three working days per week covering weekends and evenings.
- Following a six-month probationary period, there is potential for permanent employment.
