About the Role
An opportunity is open for a Part Time Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the SACT Outreach Team, delivering patient treatments closer to their homes. The role involves working across multiple sites such as St Ann’s Little Hulton, New Mills, Dr Kershaw’s Hospice, Bury Hospice, St Luke’s Hospice, and the Tameside MacMillan Unit, with additional support at Oak Road Treatment Centre as needed.
Key Responsibilities
The Nurse will provide supportive care for nursing, medical, and administrative staff across the outreach locations. Responsibilities include coordinating Outreach Clinics, enhancing clinical expertise in SACT treatments, and mentoring colleagues. The position also entails managing team members’ development needs and monitoring attendance. Leadership in promoting a progressive service, implementing changes to improve patient outcomes, and fostering staff engagement by setting a positive example is expected.
Requirements and Skills
Applicants must possess a valid driving license and have access to a vehicle to travel between treatment sites. Experience in nursing within an outreach care or oncology setting will be advantageous. The candidate should demonstrate initiative, vision, and effective leadership qualities to facilitate ongoing service enhancement.
