Job description
Role Overview
As a Leader at Coles Supermarkets, every effort you undertake, from daily team interactions to driving broader business improvements, directly impacts our customers and their communities. Whether based in-store, distribution centres, manufacturing, or elsewhere, your contribution helps us fulfill our mission to support Australians in eating and living better.
The Online Department at Coles plays a key role in processing online orders by having a team of Personal Shoppers select and pack items in-store. These orders are either collected through our click-and-collect or concierge service, or delivered directly via Coles delivery vans.
Reporting to the Online Department Manager, this role holds complete responsibility for the online department. The aim is to foster a welcoming and motivating environment that enhances customer experiences, supports team members, and benefits the community. This opportunity will allow you to elevate your retail leadership capabilities.

- Collaborate with your team to achieve sales targets, manage costs effectively, and coordinate rostering requirements.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work afternoons and evenings as needed.
- Ensure Coles’ standards are consistently upheld in visual merchandising, safety, compliance, and stock management.
- Maintain a customer-focused mindset by understanding and responding to diverse customer needs.
- Promote a unified team culture that celebrates achievements.
Candidate Profile
Successful candidates will have proven leadership experience in retail, a commitment to team collaboration, and adaptability to changing schedules. They should be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and upholding operational standards.
Benefits and Perks
- A 5% ongoing team member discount on all supermarket and liquor products, both online and in-store, with periodic double discount opportunities reaching 10% and exclusive hot deals.
- A recognition platform linked to Coles values, allowing team members to earn points redeemable for gifts and electronic gift cards.
- Access to a variety of career development programs and job-specific training designed to support growth across the business.
- Opportunities for novated car leasing for eligible employees.
- Participation in the annual team member share plan enabling pre-tax salary deductions to purchase Coles Group shares.
- Paid parental leave for permanent staff to support work-life balance.

Coles is dedicated to building a gender-equal workforce and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workplace reflective of the communities served. We promote equality across all demographics, including age, culture, ability, sexual orientation, and gender identity, and offer accommodations in recruitment processes for candidates with disabilities.
