Job description

About the Role

We are looking for seasoned molecular biology specialists to aid in creating next-generation AI systems capable of sophisticated reasoning in life sciences. This position involves crafting and assessing DNA and RNA sequences fundamental to contemporary molecular biology research. Your expertise will help produce high-grade training datasets for state-of-the-art AI platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and critically assess DNA and RNA constructs, including primers, plasmids, guide RNAs, and repair templates.
  • Develop complex, scientifically accurate challenges based on authentic molecular biology procedures.
  • Create thoroughly documented reference solutions to serve as expert benchmarks for AI training.
  • Assess AI-produced results for scientific correctness, experimental feasibility, and biological logic.
  • Offer clear and organized feedback to enhance AI model accuracy and consistency.
  • Work collaboratively with other experts to maintain the integrity and reliability of biological training data.

Qualification Requirements

  • Hands-on experience designing nucleic acid sequences for laboratory experiments.
  • An advanced academic degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Synthetic Biology, Bioengineering, or a related life sciences field.
  • Demonstrated skill in creating molecular biology reagents such as primers, plasmids, RNA constructs, or gene repair templates.
  • Strong proficiency in scientific writing and communication to clearly articulate design rationale and biological concepts.
  • Detail-oriented with robust analytical capabilities.

Preferred Criteria

  • A solid record of peer-reviewed publications showcasing research accomplishments.
  • Articles published in top-tier journals or preprint platforms like Nature, bioRxiv, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Press, or eLife.
  • Inclusion of relevant publication links with applications is welcomed.
  • Experience mentoring researchers or providing critical scientific reviews is advantageous.

Engagement Details

  • The initial assignment includes designing between 50 and 100 molecular biology tasks.
  • The project is anticipated to last 2 to 3 weeks, with a strong potential for extension depending on needs and demonstrated performance.
  • Swift onboarding is assured with the possibility of starting immediately.
  • This role offers an opportunity to directly influence the advancement of AI for scientific discovery.

Compensation

Hourly remuneration ranges from $70 to $105.
