Role Overview
We are looking for a knowledgeable and meticulous Mechanical Inspector (Saudi National) to join our site supervision team based in Riyadh. The successful candidate will conduct detailed mechanical inspections to verify quality, safety, and conformity with technical specifications on various installations and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out on-site inspections of mechanical equipment, systems, and components ensuring compliance with standards and project requirements.
- Inspect mechanical installations such as piping networks, HVAC systems, and industrial machinery thoroughly.
- Detect and record defects, non-conformities, and potential problems encountered during inspections.
- Create detailed inspection reports and maintain precise documentation of findings.
- Work alongside project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve mechanical concerns effectively.
- Confirm corrective measures are implemented properly and within designated timelines.
- Keep abreast of current mechanical inspection standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Participate actively in project meetings, offering technical guidance as needed.
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures throughout all inspection activities on site.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 10 years of practical experience in mechanical building services covering installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Proven expertise inspecting HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, gas, and fuel systems.
- Experience within engineering consultancy firms is preferred.
- Deep understanding of mechanical systems, components, and material standards.
- Strong command of inspection methodologies, quality assurance procedures, and compliance with standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and Saudi local codes.
- Competency in using inspection and reporting software/tools.
- Good knowledge of construction sequencing and project lifecycle management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities to efficiently address site issues.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for efficient coordination and reporting.
- Meticulous attention to accuracy and detail ensuring high quality standards.
- Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team in demanding environments.
- Willingness to travel across multiple project sites within Riyadh and potentially wider Saudi Arabia.
