Role Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Architectural Inspector to join our site supervision team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This position focuses on performing detailed inspections of architectural and structural components to ensure strict adherence to the Saudi Building Code and applicable construction standards. The ideal candidate will possess keen attention to detail, excellent organizational capabilities, and a strong commitment to quality and safety regulations across construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth on-site inspections of buildings and construction projects, ensuring compliance with the Saudi Building Code and architectural plans.
- Review architectural drawings, plans, and technical documents to assess conformity with approved designs and established standards.
- Assess building materials, construction methods, and structural soundness to guarantee quality and safety requirements are upheld.
- Compile detailed reports documenting inspection results, observations, and deviations using standardized formats.
- Detect code violations, safety risks, and non-compliance issues, and communicate findings clearly to project stakeholders and management.
- Confirm that construction activities comply with approved permits, licenses, and regulatory mandates.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers to resolve inspection issues and implement corrective measures.
- Maintain organized records of all inspections, reports, and related communication for regulatory and project documentation.
- Keep updated on the latest revisions in Saudi Arabian building codes, construction standards, and regulations.
- Offer expert recommendations for remediation and improvements based on inspection findings.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be a Saudi National.
- Demonstrated experience as an Architectural Inspector or in a related inspection role within construction and consultancy sectors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Saudi Building Code and local construction regulations.
- Strong grasp of architectural design fundamentals, building systems, and structural analysis.
- Skilled in preparing technical documentation, report writing, and managing data.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving abilities to evaluate complex architectural and structural elements.
- Proficient in CAD software and digital inspection technologies.
- Understanding of safety regulations, building materials, and construction techniques.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple inspection assignments concurrently.
- Experience with inspection management systems and electronic documentation tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with international building codes and best practices is preferred.
- Project management experience in construction or related fields is advantageous.
