About the Role
World Vision New Zealand is seeking a proficient Marketing Automation Specialist to join their Marketing Technology team. This role offers the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable children globally by designing, executing, and optimizing personalized, multi-channel supporter communication journeys through their marketing automation platform, Customer.io. Collaboration with Go-To-Market and Data teams is essential to transform campaign strategies into effective automated communications that engage a broad supporter base.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage automated supporter engagement workflows across email, SMS, direct mail, WhatsApp, and phone channels.
- Convert campaign briefs from internal stakeholders into actionable, multi-channel automation campaigns.
- Utilize dynamic content, audience segmentation, and A/B testing to boost interaction and campaign effectiveness.
- Analyze campaign data and journey metrics to offer strategic insights on channel usage and content performance.
- Ensure data quality, conduct thorough quality assurance of automation workflows, and follow go-live checklists diligently.
- Create documentation for Customer.io processes and aid in team knowledge development regarding the platform.
- Work closely with Operations and Data teams to guarantee precise targeting and seamless campaign execution.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing automation or related digital marketing roles.
- Proficiency with marketing automation tools like Customer.io, HubSpot, Marketo, Braze, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- In-depth understanding of supporter lifecycle management, personalization techniques, and behavioral triggers.
- Competent in HTML for email design, dynamic content creation, Liquid templating language, and basic SQL queries.
- Capability to translate briefs into detailed multi-channel automation strategies.
- Effective collaboration with data teams to implement segmentation, triggers, and tagging systems.
- Strong attention to detail ensuring quality assurance compliance.
- Analytical mindset with ability to derive insights and recommend enhancements.
- Experience in not-for-profit or fundraising environments is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Customer Data Platforms (CDP), CRM data structures, and A/B testing methodologies is desirable.
- Collaborative and growth-oriented mindset aligned with World Vision's Christian values.
- Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand is mandatory.
