Role Overview
The Digital Merchandising & Marketing Analyst plays a crucial role in enhancing the customer journey by designing, constructing, and validating key global landing pages, seasonal collections, and navigational elements for belk.com and the Belk mobile app.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize expertise in digital merchandising and marketing to develop and implement strategies aimed at improving customer shopping experiences, thereby boosting revenue and conversion rates.
- Oversee all facets of creating and maintaining global landing pages, seasonal shops, and brand showcases, collaborating across teams including digital merchandising, marketing, taxonomy, and product merchandising.
- Facilitate foundational planning sessions for assigned global pages, coordinating with marketing and merchandising teams to secure alignment on strategy, product assortment, and timing.
- Manage curated product assortments for all global and seasonal shops under your purview, including default color updates, promotional boosting, and ongoing product adjustments post-launch.
- Collaborate with digital merchandisers and taxonomy teams to ensure accurate taxonomy definitions and tagging, submit and manage taxonomy change requests related to your responsibilities.
- Coordinate creative briefs and content requirements while validating the setup and accuracy of shops and content across all platforms such as the website, mobile app, and email campaigns.
- Conduct competitor analysis and examine customer behaviors to identify opportunities and optimize website performance.
- Support content briefing, requests, and verification for your designated areas and assist with ad hoc project needs.
- Work jointly with the analytics team to monitor site performance, delivering detailed reporting and analyses to aid pre-launch planning and post-launch evaluations for your assigned pages and shops.
- Perform daily reviews of the website to guarantee precise product representation and promptly address corrections or updates as necessary.
- Act as the subject matter expert in digital merchandising for cross-functional teams, facilitating effective communication with digital teams, marketing, vendors, and merchandising stakeholders.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned and adhere strictly to all organizational policies and standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline is mandatory.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in digital merchandising or digital marketing roles.
- Proven ability to thrive and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of marketing, merchandising, and user experience fundamentals.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, web content management systems, and web analytics tools.
- Knowledgeable about online retail industry trends, digital design concepts including responsive and adaptive layouts.
- Familiar with key performance indicators (KPIs), data analysis, and reporting methodologies.
- Comprehends website information architecture, taxonomies, and site mapping principles.
- Demonstrates effective collaboration abilities and excellent communication skills.
