About Orbital Critical Systems

Orbital Critical Systems, a part of Grupo CAF, specializes in safety-critical software solutions for aerospace, defense, and transport sectors. This role is based in Bremen, Germany, focusing on Airbus cabin assembly and industrialization projects.

Role Overview

The position involves optimizing manufacturing and assembly processes across various facilities, developing production concepts and documentation, supporting production teams, and collaborating with design groups to ensure manufacturability. This is an opportunity to work on permanent contracts with long-term projects in a multicultural and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance cabin assembly and manufacturing workflows across multiple plant locations.
  • Create effective production strategies, tooling, and implementation methodologies.
  • Interpret engineering requirements into clear production documentation and work orders.
  • Assist production teams to address manufacturing challenges involving quality, design, and logistics.
  • Maintain thorough process documentation and lead initiatives for continuous improvements.
  • Provide design teams with expert advice on manufacturability and construction documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing processes, industrialization, or production engineering roles.
  • Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing environments; Airbus experience is highly favorable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficient in English at C1 level (mandatory); German proficiency at C1 level is advantageous.
  • EU citizenship is required for application eligibility.
