About the Role and Company

Orbital Critical Systems, part of the CAF Group, specializes in safety-critical software for aerospace, defense, and transportation sectors. Currently, the company seeks Manufacturing Engineers to join their onsite teams in Wunstorf, Lower Saxony, Germany. You will directly contribute to Airbus cabin assembly and industrialization projects, working in a multicultural and innovative atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance manufacturing and cabin assembly processes across several production plants.
  • Develop production strategies, tools, and procedures for operational deployment.
  • Convert engineering designs and specifications into actionable production documents and work orders.
  • Provide ongoing support to production teams by addressing and solving issues related to quality, design, and logistics.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and analysis of manufacturing processes, promoting continuous process improvement.
  • Guide design teams on aspects of manufacturability and construction documentation to align with production capabilities.

Requirements

  • A degree in Aerospace, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related disciplines.
  • Relevant experience in manufacturing processes, industrialization, or production engineering roles.
  • Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing settings; experience with Airbus is highly advantageous.
  • A proactive approach to troubleshooting with knowledge of continuous improvement practices such as lean manufacturing.
  • English proficiency at C1 level is mandatory; German language skills at C1 level are considered a plus.
  • Candidates must possess EU citizenship.
