Job description
Role Overview
This position involves overseeing and conducting investigations related to compliance with regulatory directions, licensing conditions, content standards, and pertinent legislation managed by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct investigations into breaches of regulatory directions, license terms, content codes, and related laws enforced by IMDA.
- Propose suitable penalties for violations and coordinate subsequent enforcement actions.
- Prepare legal documentation such as draft charges, factual statements, and investigation dossiers for cases proceeding to court.
- Collaborate with external legal representatives during courtroom preparation, attend trials, and provide testimony as a prosecution witness when required.
- Support the development and periodic review of penalty frameworks as necessary.
- Participate in the periodic evaluation, design, and deployment of case management systems and enhance current investigative procedures and workflows.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years experience in investigations, regulatory affairs, legal practice, or analytical roles, with preference for supervisory or managerial experience.
- Hands-on investigative experience, notably as an Investigation Officer, with skills in evidence gathering, interviewing, statement documentation, and preparation of investigative reports.
- Interest or experience in digital forensics is essential or the willingness to develop these technical capabilities.
- Excellent analytical reasoning, communication, and report writing skills.
- Highly detail-oriented and meticulous in work approach.
