Overview
The Lead for Workplace and Village Campus Development at Qiddiya Investment Company will be the driving force behind the strategic planning, design, construction, and operation of workplace and residential campuses. This encompasses creating environments that enhance collaboration, innovation, and employee well-being aligned with Qiddiya's ambition to become a premier entertainment destination globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary corporate workplace authority, representing client interests and ensuring governance compliance.
- Translate corporate goals into clear spatial, technical, and operational specifications across workplace domains.
- Approve project briefs, employer requirements, and design milestones.
- Lead technical review meetings, design assurance reviews, and project control groups on behalf of Workplace teams.
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies, regulatory frameworks, and environmental, social, and governance standards.
- Integrate workplace principles and occupancy strategies within project execution phases.
- Maintain space planning standards and density targets in collaboration with Workplace Effectiveness teams.
- Validate alignment of master planning with growth forecasts and develop technical design standards and workplace guidelines.
- Critically assess architectural, mechanical, electrical, ICT, and security design proposals to optimize lifecycle costs and uphold value engineering without quality compromise.
- Manage sustainability goals pertaining to energy performance.
- Engage in programme governance, including stage-gate reviews, CAPEX oversight, risk management, and business continuity alignment.
- Define operational readiness requirements, coordinate with Operations and Experience teams for smooth commissioning and post-occupancy assessments.
- Lead stakeholder engagement and change management efforts, serving as a single point of contact for relocation strategy and cross-functional governance committees, including Finance, Procurement, and HR.
- Provide executive-level reporting to senior leadership throughout project delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 12 years’ experience managing large-scale workplace or campus developments.
- Proven track record as a client-side representative in complex projects.
- Expertise spanning master planning, design oversight, construction governance, and readiness for operational handover.
- Experience delivering developments exceeding 100,000 square meters or multi-building campus projects.
- Experience in office portfolio consolidation involving over 1,000 occupants.
- Preferred candidates will have background in GCC or Saudi Arabian markets, giga-project environments, hospitality-integrated workplace models, and managing projects within complex multi-stakeholder corporate settings.
