Role Overview

The Vice President of Project Management Excellence is a fully remote, full-time role responsible for the development and leadership of superior project and program management practices company-wide. This leader manages complex, interdisciplinary projects ensuring alignment with strategic goals, timely delivery, and budget adherence. Daily duties include designing and improving project management frameworks, directing project planning and implementation, tracking performance metrics, and fostering continual process and tool improvements. Collaboration with senior executives and project teams to standardize methodologies, handle risk, allocate resources effectively, and facilitate change management is key. Additionally, this role provides coaching and mentoring to project managers, supports executive reporting, and champions a culture oriented towards operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Expertise in project management, encompassing planning, execution, and risk handling.
• Proven experience in program management overseeing intricate, multi-project initiatives and cross-functional team coordination.
• Strong analytical capabilities for assessing project outcomes, spotting patterns, and enabling data-driven choices.
• Proficient in budgeting and financial management related to projects, including cost control and forecasting.
• Background in developing and applying project management standards, tools, and governance structures.
• Outstanding communication abilities, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration across organizational levels.
• Leadership skills in coaching, mentoring, and cultivating high-performance project teams.
• A bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related discipline; possession of an advanced degree or certifications like PMP or PgMP is highly advantageous.
• Comfortable working remotely with strong organizational skills and capacity to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
