Job description
About the Role
LinkedIn is a global professional network focused on helping people create opportunity, grow their skills, and make meaningful business connections. The company also emphasizes employee development and a workplace culture grounded in trust, care, inclusion, and enjoyment.
In this position, you will join LinkedIn’s Sales Solutions organization, which supports sales and business development through Sales Navigator and related offerings. As a Key Account Director, you will guide a sales pod responsible for growing adoption of Sales Navigator among major strategic customers. The role centers on advising buyers, building business value, and helping customers improve go-to-market performance and outcomes.
The role is designed around flexible work and is hybrid, meaning work will be split between home and a LinkedIn office based on team and business needs.
This opening is aligned to one of two priority verticals: Professional Services, including consulting, accounting, and law firms, or Financial Services and Insurance.
Responsibilities
- Advise customers on how LinkedIn products, especially Sales Navigator, can support business growth and expand investment in the platform where appropriate.
- Build a strong understanding of the assigned industry, including how organizations operate, how decisions are made, current trends, major challenges, and growth opportunities.
- Own renewal and expansion results for a named territory of roughly 15 to 20 prioritized accounts.
- Develop customer-specific business cases and ROI-based recommendations that connect clearly to each client’s priorities.
- Shape territory strategy for the sales pod, including account plans, stakeholder mapping, and multi-threaded engagement to uncover and advance opportunities.
- Maintain an active pipeline that supports both immediate opportunities and upcoming quarters.
- Increase customer engagement through executive-level events and targeted marketing and product campaigns.
- Share market feedback with executive and product teams and help influence future product direction when market needs warrant it.
- Deliver strong quarterly, half-year, and annual revenue performance, ideally exceeding targets.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of enterprise sales experience.
- At least 5 years of managing enterprise accounts across both new business and expansion motions.
- 10 or more years in quota-carrying roles working with large, complex client organizations is preferred.
- Experience in enterprise SaaS companies and/or enterprise consulting is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree or MBA in a related subject such as Economics or Business Management is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding goals and quota.
- Experience influencing outcomes both directly and through alignment with others.
- Background in high-growth, performance-driven environments.
- Ability to create and execute account strategies, manage complex deals, coordinate strategic partnerships, and build revenue growth plans.
- Proven success selling to and influencing executives, C-level leaders, and end users within the same sales cycle.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and negotiation capabilities, with the ability to simplify complex topics for stakeholders.
- Experience handling large, complex accounts across both acquisition and renewal motions.
- Track record of selling innovative or disruptive technology.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Perks and Compensation
The salary range for this role is USD 212,000 to 324,000 per year. Final compensation may vary based on skills, years and depth of experience, certifications, and office location. The total package may also include an annual performance bonus, stock, benefits, and other incentive compensation plans.
LinkedIn also notes that additional benefits information is available through its benefits resources.
