About the Role
Russell Tobin & Associates is recruiting for a Junior Project Manager/Leader on behalf of a respected client in the public sector based in Toronto, ON. This hybrid position spans an initial 260 business days with a potential 12-month extension. The role involves managing complex technology deployments and digital enablement programs, particularly focused on enterprise SaaS and Microsoft 365 rollouts.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee integrated workplans, project schedules, key milestones, dependencies, and action logs for initiatives involving M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio Agents, and GitHub Copilot.
- Facilitate user onboarding procedures, licensing activation, provisioning, and coordinate rollout activities across divisions.
- Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly status updates, dashboards, RAID logs, and executive summaries.
- Compose communications, create FAQs, develop training materials, and engage stakeholders effectively.
- Manage governance activities including SAR, TRA, PIA, IAM, and Information Management assessments, approvals, and track risk mitigation measures.
- Support operational readiness efforts through developing SOPs, support documentation, and facilitating knowledge transfer.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including repositories, meeting minutes, and decision records.
- Track metrics such as adoption rates, system utilization, training completion statistics, and rollout progress while recommending continuous improvement strategies.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience supporting or delivering complex technology rollouts or digital enablement projects within large organizations.
- Proven expertise in deploying Microsoft 365 or enterprise SaaS systems including aspects such as technical implementation, licensing, onboarding, training, communications, and measuring adoption.
- Experience coordinating delivery checkpoints involving security, privacy, and compliance stakeholders, managing assessments and risk approaches.
- Familiarity with AI technologies including Copilot Studio, M365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot, or similar solutions is highly desirable.
- Understanding of AI rollout prerequisites such as identity management, access control, and end-user preparedness for pilot and production phases.
- Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong communication skills enabling clear translation of technical topics in security, privacy, identity governance into actionable delivery decisions and user guidance.
- Demonstrated sound judgment and accountability within public sector or analogous environments.
- Knowledge of Project Management Institute methodologies and Information Management principles, policies, and practice.
- Awareness of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related legal requirements.
Additional Information
This position is full-time and primarily on-site in Toronto, Ontario with hybrid working flexibility. The hourly pay rate ranges between CAD 60 to 70.
