Job Overview
HealthPartners is seeking a Government Programs Coordinator to support the daily coordination and execution of activities related to Government Programs products. This role involves direct support for one or more teams including Medicare Programs, GP Operations, State Public Programs, and Monitoring and Compliance. The Coordinator ensures efficient operation and compliance with policies and standards by collaborating with operational units, external partners, and regulators.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operational coordination ensuring efficient program function and timely resolution of operational challenges.
- Act as a subject matter expert on federal and state regulations, maintaining compliance with program policies and standards.
- Analyze and interpret current and new regulatory requirements, collaborating with business teams for effective implementation.
- Advise internal teams regarding product and regulatory inquiries.
- Maintain and update processes, policies, procedures, and documentation related to regulatory and product coordination.
- Manage program-related data, communication records, and regulatory information across departments and agencies.
- Participate in and lead cross-functional meetings, workgroups, and committees within operational areas.
- Consistently update leadership on project statuses, obstacles, and risks.
- Provide training and education regarding Government Programs and products to internal stakeholders.
- Represent the organization externally to regulators, trade associations, advocacy groups, and other entities as required.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects while prioritizing and balancing competing demands.
- Stay informed of regulatory changes impacting Government Programs.
- Collaborate with Government Programs leadership and Government Relations to provide feedback on proposed legislation and guidelines.
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned business areas regarding program queries and coordination.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in healthcare or a highly regulated industry.
- Strong ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proven capacity to work independently within team settings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clearly conveying complex information.
- Effective project management skills.
- Capability to build strong collaborative relationships across organizational levels.
- Self-driven with initiative and critical thinking skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with HealthPartners organization.
- Experience in Medicare and/or Medicaid managed care programs.
