Role Overview
As a Junior Money Market Trader at Bank of China Limited Singapore Branch, you will be responsible for the oversight and handling of daily cash flows in diverse currencies, forecasting near-term liquidity needs, and conducting a range of money market operations including interbank dealings and FX swaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and regulate daily cash positions across varied currencies.
- Project short-term liquidity and funding necessities accurately.
- Perform money market transactions such as interbank borrowing and lending, deposits, and foreign exchange swaps.
- Keep abreast of money market interest rates and evolving market trends to assist funding choices.
- Minimize funding costs while preserving adequate liquidity levels.
- Adhere strictly to internal risk parameters, authorised mandates, and regulatory standards.
Candidate Profile
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Meticulous attention to detail, complemented by a robust sense of integrity and risk consciousness.
- Self-driven and motivated, with a proactive attitude and enthusiasm for learning.
- Capable of functioning autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Fluent communication skills in both spoken and written English and Mandarin to liaise efficiently with Chinese-speaking clients and headquarters personnel.
