About the Role
We are working with a prominent international food manufacturer seeking a Financial Accountant to become a vital member of their Finance team. This role offers an engaging opportunity within a high-energy FMCG setting, focusing on financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and ongoing process enhancements. The position is based near Dublin West and supports a hybrid work structure, requiring 2-3 days onsite per week. The compensation package includes a competitive salary, bonus, and pension benefits.
Key Duties
- Compile monthly management accounts, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Oversee accruals, prepayments, intercompany account reconciliations, and monitor capital expenditure controls.
- Prepare statutory financial statements and assist in the annual audit procedures.
- Support budgeting activities, ensure adherence to revenue compliance, and manage statutory returns.
- Provide assistance across broader Finance operations, including payroll functions.
- Champion process optimization initiatives and contribute to special finance-related projects as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- Between two to five years of relevant experience in FMCG or manufacturing environments.
- Proficient in advanced Excel functions and have hands-on experience with integrated ERP systems; familiarity with IFS software is a plus.
- Meticulous attention to detail paired with excellent communication and multi-tasking capabilities.
- A forward-thinking, team-oriented professional with robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
