Investment Banking M&A Specialist (Remote, UK)

About the Role

We are seeking accomplished Investment Banking professionals specializing in Mergers & Acquisitions to contribute to cutting-edge AI research and assessment projects. This position involves leveraging your expertise in M&A, valuation, financial modeling, and transaction execution to craft and validate real-world financial scenarios that enhance the reasoning capabilities of advanced AI systems.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, assess, and critique authentic investment banking and M&A scenarios.
• Perform detailed examinations of M&A transactions, financial statements, valuation models, and corporate finance strategies.
• Develop and review financial models, conduct company and industry research, and prepare transaction documentation.
• Assess AI-generated financial content for accuracy, technical rigor, and investment banking logic.
• Utilize expertise in due diligence, deal execution, and valuation to refine AI-produced materials.
• Convert complex financial data into precise, well-justified recommendations.
• Work collaboratively with research teams to raise the standard and reliability of AI evaluations.

Essential Qualifications

• Substantial professional experience in Investment Banking with a focus on Mergers & Acquisitions.
• Hands-on involvement with M&A transactions including financial modeling, valuation, company analysis, due diligence, market research, and execution phases.
• Proficiency in at least one of these domains: M&A, Financial Modeling and Valuation, Company and Industry Analysis, Transaction Execution, Due Diligence, Pitchbook and Investment Committee documentation, or transaction analysis for strategic buyers, sponsors, or public companies.
• Strong grasp of corporate finance, accounting principles, financial statement evaluation, and valuation techniques.
• Excellent analytical capabilities, financial modeling expertise, and strong communication skills.
• Must reside in and have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.

Preferred Experience

• Background working at top-tier global investment banks with significant M&A practices.
• Advisory experience for strategic buyers, private equity sponsors, or publicly traded companies on complex deal structures.
• Proven track record preparing board presentations, investment memoranda, and transaction endorsements.
• Attention to detail and ability to critically analyze intricate financial situations.

Compensation and Engagement

• Competitive hourly rate ranging from $180 to $230.
• Weekly payment cycle.
