Equity Investment Analyst - Remote Hourly Contract

Position Overview

This role is for seasoned Equity Research professionals seeking to contribute to cutting-edge AI research and assessment initiatives. The position involves leveraging financial analysis skills and expertise in public market data to enhance AI systems' capabilities in evaluating companies, financial documents, and public disclosures.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret company financial data and regulatory filings available publicly.
• Extract pertinent financial and operational details from SEC documents including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, and other public statements.
• Assess the accuracy, thoroughness, and analytical rigor of financial analyses and AI-generated results.
• Utilize equity research methods to review company performance, financial trends, and underlying business fundamentals.
• Offer structured, precise feedback to refine AI-generated financial evaluations.
• Perform detailed research on companies and industry sectors using accessible public information.
• Employ consistent, evidence-based judgment in reviewing financial research and analysis outputs.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in equity research at reputable financial, investment, or research firms.
• Proficient in analyzing and extracting data from public SEC filings.
• Comprehensive understanding of financial statements, accounting standards, business fundamentals, and valuation techniques.
• Demonstrated experience in company and sector analysis.
• Strong analytical capabilities, financial research aptitude, and critical thinking.
• Excellent written communication with strong attention to detail.
• Capability to work independently in a fully remote setup.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building financial models, performing earnings analysis, investment research, or valuation assessments.
• Familiarity with a wide range of public disclosures such as 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K filings, earnings releases, and investor presentations.
• Background in producing or reviewing institutional-grade equity research reports.
• Previous involvement with AI training, model evaluation, or financial data projects is advantageous.

Compensation and Engagement

• Competitive hourly pay rate of $120.
• Payments processed on a weekly basis.
• Engagement as an independent contractor.
• Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week.
