As an Investment Associate focused on early-stage ventures, your responsibilities will encompass identifying, assessing, and nurturing startups, venture funds, and innovative technologies that influence evolving industries. Collaborating closely with portfolio companies and ecosystem partners within the Viessmann Generations Group (VGG), you'll aim to foster long-term strategic value.

Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate startups that align with VGG's investment themes and strategies.
- Proactively discover emerging technologies, industry shifts, and potential investment areas before they achieve mainstream recognition.
- Execute thorough commercial, financial, and market analyses to formulate distinctive investment hypotheses.
- Develop independent investment views by integrating rigorous data analysis with sound commercial judgment, articulating clear recommendations.
- Conduct commercial, strategic, and financial due diligence as part of investment execution.
- Build financial models and investment cases to facilitate informed decision-making by the Investment Committee.
- Prepare comprehensive investment documentation and coordinate internal and external diligence activities.
- Strengthen portfolio value by identifying strategic growth opportunities, partnerships, and subsequent investment potentials for existing companies.
- Facilitate connections across founders, portfolio companies, investors, and operating partners within the VGG ecosystem to enhance long-term value creation.
- Analyse cross-portfolio insights and identify AI-driven and technology trends to bolster investment and portfolio outcomes.
Candidate Profile
- Possess between 3 to 5 years of experience in Venture Capital, Corporate Venture Capital, Investment Banking, Growth Equity, Strategy Consulting, or high-growth tech startups, demonstrating hands-on involvement with investment evaluation or strategic deals.
- Skilled in financial modeling, commercial due diligence, and investment research.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities to distill complex data into clear recommendations.
- Excellent at pattern recognition and connecting diverse technological, industrial, and ecosystem trends.
- Experience leveraging AI-powered research and productivity tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini) valued for enhancing investment analysis capabilities.
- Demonstrate entrepreneurial curiosity with a passion for startups, innovation, and emerging tech.
- Exposure to sectors like AI, enterprise software, industrial tech, defense, or climate technology is advantageous.
- Business proficiency in both German and English languages.
