Role overview

The Investment Banking Division works closely with corporations and governments worldwide to deliver both established and innovative solutions tailored to their strategic and financial goals. Using a broad international network, regional regulatory experience across Europe, and deep product expertise, the team supports clients in both short-term and long-term objectives.

This role sits within the Global Industries Group (GIG), which covers industrial sectors such as capital goods, automotive, aerospace and defence, industrial services, and industrial technology across Europe. The team partners with geographic and product specialists to deliver integrated client service and plays an active role in both origination and execution across complex corporate transactions.

Key focus areas

The position involves working on a range of transactions and business development efforts while engaging directly with senior decision-makers at large multinational companies as well as smaller high-growth businesses.

  • Support and manage corporate finance transactions, including IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic advisory assignments.
  • Carry out financial modelling, strategic analysis, and detailed industry research.
  • Take part in team discussions and client interactions.
  • Provide quick, accurate market views to internal colleagues and clients.
  • Prepare and present client materials in a polished and persuasive format.
  • Mentor Analysts and contribute positively to team culture.
  • Collaborate closely with senior bankers and colleagues across related groups.

Required profile

Applicants should bring strong transaction experience, especially in Industrials-focused M&A advisory work, along with excellent technical and interpersonal capabilities.

  • A top-tier degree, or international equivalent, in finance or a related subject from a leading university.
  • Previous experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or M&A.
  • Significant advisory deal exposure in the Industrials sector.
  • Fluency in English plus either German or French.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of accounting and core financial concepts, including business valuation.
  • Leadership potential, high motivation, and sound management qualities.
  • Clear understanding of ethics and the regulatory environment.
  • High personal integrity and commitment to professional standards.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Strong work discipline and a consistent focus on quality.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and target-oriented approach.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
