Job description
Position Summary
The Chief of Staff role involves providing outstanding service to clients and supporting Financial Advisors (FAs), Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs), and their teams in daily operations. This senior leadership position is responsible for managing all business functions and supervising support team members to maintain productivity. The Chief of Staff leads the creation, execution, and oversight of the team's strategic initiatives to ensure alignment between team priorities and organizational objectives. This leader handles all facets of the client service framework, including business development, marketing, and client engagement, assisting the FA/PWA teams in scaling their operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and direct Support Professionals to maintain focus on team goals and priorities.
- Act as a point of coordination for business matters, routing issues appropriately and monitoring their resolution effectively.
- Guide and execute strategic initiatives to track asset acquisition, growth, and team performance metrics.
- Organize and present critical information to Advisors to aid timely decision-making.
- Enhance client relationships by ensuring an exceptional service experience.
- Proactively analyze client service requirements and delegate responsibilities within the team accordingly.
- Oversee the team’s client communication strategies.
- Collaborate with the Business Service Officer (BSO) on recruitment, training, and staff performance evaluations.
- Assess and integrate new firm services into the existing service offerings.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 10 years relevant professional experience.
- Advanced degree or professional certification preferred, with prior industry exposure.
- Required securities licenses: Series 7 and Series 66, or alternatively Series 63 and Series 65.
- Willingness to obtain additional licenses or designations as needed.
- Strong leadership and organizational capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial products including equities, bonds, options, mutual funds, annuities, insurance, and managed accounts.
- Proficient with technology platforms and rapid adaptation to new tools.
- Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and client service skills.
- Effective time management and the ability to multitask in a dynamic setting.
- Team-oriented mindset with collaborative skills.
- Goal-driven, self-motivated, and results-focused approach.
Reporting Structure
Reports directly to the Business Service Officer or Market Business Service Officer.
Compensation and Culture
The initial base salary for this position is expected to range between $75,000 and $125,000 annually, which varies individually and complements additional incentives such as commissions, bonuses, and other benefit programs.
