Role Summary

The Head of Brand and Digital Marketing will be responsible for crafting and implementing brand strategy and marketing programs designed to drive customer acquisition and engagement throughout the Morgan Stanley ecosystem (including Morgan Stanley at Work, ETRADE, and Financial Advisors). This position demands expertise in both strategic brand development and hands-on marketing execution across the customer lifecycle at scale to ensure distinct brand identity, coherence, and measurable results aligned with business objectives.

Core Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for Morgan Stanley Private Markets, develop, and implement comprehensive brand and performance marketing plans aligned with business goals.
  • Articulate positioning, core messaging, and value propositions across target audiences, developing programs delivering on these plans.
  • Manage, optimize, and report on paid media campaigns across channels such as Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Bing, focusing on customer acquisition and engagement.
  • Design and oversee automated lifecycle marketing initiatives utilizing marketing automation platforms like Hubspot to foster lasting investor and shareholder relationships.
  • Lead marketing analytics efforts by setting KPIs, managing budgets, analyzing data with tools like Google Analytics and Tableau, and using insights to enhance economics and customer experience.
  • Execute A/B and multivariate testing on channels and landing pages to optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with private markets marketing teams on SEO, paid media, and content strategies.
  • Ensure compliance by partnering closely with internal regulatory teams to maintain marketing operations that adhere to industry standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a closely related discipline.
  • Over 15 years of experience in digital marketing with a focus on performance, growth, and lifecycle marketing; experience in affiliate marketing is advantageous.
  • Strategic thinker capable of distilling complex opportunities into actionable marketing plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead major projects, build annual marketing plans, communicate effectively, and influence stakeholders, preferably with experience in financial services, fintech, or brands targeting affluent customer segments. Exposure to regulated environments is a plus.
  • Strong data orientation with experience using analytical and tracking tools such as Google Analytics, Hubspot, Mixpanel, Impact, Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Proven capability in managing marketing budgets and executing digital campaigns successfully for customer acquisition and engagement.
  • In-depth understanding of financial services marketing including B2C and some experience in B2B contexts.
  • Leadership skills with prior experience managing and mentoring talented marketing teams.

Compensation and Culture

Morgan Stanley offers a competitive salary range between $150,000 and $250,000 annually (base pay), complemented by a comprehensive benefits package including commission, incentives, bonuses, and long-term programs.
