Overview

Our client, an expanding investment banking firm, seeks an Analyst based in Houston, TX. This position provides comprehensive exposure to mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising initiatives, and strategic advisory projects, primarily focused on energy and energy transition sectors. Ideal candidates will have robust financial and analytical skills, thrive in collaborative settings, and demonstrate an earnest interest in transaction execution. Responsibilities

  • Assist in all phases of M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory projects from initiation to closing.
  • Develop and update detailed financial models, perform valuation analyses, and prepare transaction materials for client presentations.
  • Conduct thorough industry, company, and market research to support business development and ongoing deals.
  • Manage due diligence activities and liaise with senior bankers, clients, legal counsel, and other stakeholders involved in transactions.

Qualifications

  • Between one and three years’ experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, valuation, corporate development, private capital advisory, consulting, or a related analytical area.
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, corporate finance concepts, and valuation methodologies.
  • Proven capability to juggle multiple projects efficiently within a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree with notable academic performance in fields such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or similar disciplines.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior involvement in transactions related to energy, infrastructure, industrials, power, renewables, or closely linked sectors.
  • Familiarity with mergers & acquisitions, capital markets, strategic finance, or transaction services engagements.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, coupled with strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Track record of effective collaboration in team-centric, client-facing roles.
