About the Role
iCapital is seeking a Fund Monitoring Analyst to become part of the Fund Monitoring, Reporting, and Governance team. The role focuses on continuous oversight of private market fund investments within the iCapital platform. Over time, the position will also encompass delivering investment status reports to internal teams, wealth advisors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Track performance metrics for investments in private equity, private credit, and real assets offered by iCapital.
- Create clear summaries of calls, investment updates, and key discussion points.
- Develop performance analysis and conduct financial models for fund-level assessments.
- Maintain awareness of macroeconomic trends by regularly engaging with fund managers associated with iCapital.
- Represent iCapital at Annual General Meetings (AGMs) to gather updates from fund managers.
- Update and manage the internal fund monitoring database within Confluence.
- Effectively communicate investment updates to both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Assist Governance colleagues with materials and analysis for projects such as secondary sales and investment decision oversight.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required; progress towards CFA or CAIA designation is preferable.
- Between 1 and 3 years of relevant experience, including private markets, investment banking, asset management, or investment consulting, is advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and modeling, particularly strong skills with Excel; familiarity with valuation techniques like discounted cash flow and comparable company analysis is preferred.
- Strong motivation to learn about the alternative investments field.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 10% as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a base salary ranging from $65,000 to $80,000 annually. Compensation includes equity participation for full-time employees and an annual performance-based bonus. Work Schedule and Environment
This role operates in a hybrid work setting, with office presence required Monday through Thursday in Boca Raton, FL, and remote work permitted on Fridays.
