About the Role
An internationally accredited healthcare institution located in Abu Dhabi is expanding its adult medical services, including inpatient care and specialty clinics for complex comorbidities. They are searching for a highly qualified Internal Medicine Consultant to join their clinical team. Role Overview
The selected consultant will function within a multidisciplinary team supported by experienced medical professionals such as consultants, nurses, allied health staff, and enhanced diagnostic and treatment resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert consultant-level care to adult patients suffering from both acute and chronic medical ailments.
- Lead inpatient evaluations, diagnostic procedures, formulate treatment strategies, and coordinate discharge planning.
- Manage patients with complex coexisting conditions including but not limited to diabetes, hypertension, infections, cardiac, and renal diseases.
- Oversee referrals to subspecialists ensuring seamless patient care across outpatient and inpatient units.
- Provide supervision and guidance to junior medical staff, support adherence to evidence-based clinical protocols, and actively engage in clinical governance processes.
- Maintain precise electronic medical records, ensure medication safety, and comply fully with UAE healthcare regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Eligibility
Applicants must be internationally trained internal medicine consultants with credentials accepted for licensure in the UAE, including but not limited to:
- American Board of Internal Medicine
- UK CCT, MRCP, or FRCP
- European Board or national specialist certifications
- Royal College Certification (Canada)
- Australian FRACP
- Arab Board
- MD, DNB, FCPS, or equivalent recognized specialist diplomas
