This includes management of regular giving programs, general donations, appeals, and donor acquisition campaigns spread across various channels.
Reporting directly to the Individual Giving and Community Fundraising Manager, this position oversees the entire donor journey—from initial acquisition and onboarding to upgrades, reactivation, and sustained retention. Success hinges on crafting a persuasive, data-driven donor experience that fosters robust engagement and meets revenue goals.
The role collaborates closely with the Marketing and Communications team to align messaging and advertising, ensuring a steady pipeline of individual giving and that campaign content remains consistent, brand-aligned, and emotionally compelling.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the yearly individual giving strategy, defining measurable KPIs covering appeals, recurring giving, donor acquisition, and retention.
- Discover new growth opportunities via fresh channels, diverse audiences, innovative products, and offers.
- Lead strategic planning and execution of the Mission’s Individual Giving program, encompassing appeals, regular donations, and ongoing fundraising efforts.
- Oversee comprehensive donor stewardship activities including distribution of welcome materials, acknowledgments, upgrade initiatives, reactivation, and retention campaigns.
- Manage fundraising analytics and reporting to track campaign success, donor trends, income patterns, and key performance indicators, guiding informed decision-making.
Candidate Profile
- At least four years of professional experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, or related areas.
- Demonstrable dedication to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and living the Mission’s principles: Manaakitanga, Atawhai, Rangapū, Mana Tika, and Mana Ōrite.
- Proven ability in designing multi-channel campaigns, such as appeals, tailored to diverse audience segments.
- Strong data analytic capacity with skills in segmenting and manipulating datasets for insights.
- Excellent project management abilities to lead and coordinate initiatives efficiently.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to build, cultivate, and sustain meaningful relationships.
