Key Responsibilities
- Support comprehensive human resources functions and collaborate with organizations on strategic HR initiatives under the guidance of an HRBP Manager.
- Develop and execute HR strategies tailored to drive client business growth and align with overall company goals.
- Ensure strong HR infrastructure and compliance by advising on policies, employee handbooks, FLSA classification audits, and mandatory training.
- Prepare clients for mergers and acquisitions through best practice consultation during service initiation.
- Lead or coordinate the deployment and management of HRIS, payroll, 401(k), benefits, and performance management systems.
- Manage benefits programs, including plan design, enrollment, claims resolution, and audit, partnering with Escalon's benefits brokerage team as needed.
- Recommend and partner on onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions.
- Oversee and support payroll processing across multiple clients, resolving employee inquiries.
- Assist clients in drafting and managing parental leave policies and ensure compliance with leave laws.
- Address employee relations matters by recommending feedback mechanisms, resolving grievances, and promoting positive work culture.
- Advise on designing and administering performance management frameworks to provide timely, actionable employee evaluations.
- Develop programs to enhance employee morale and productivity and guide corrective actions when necessary.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in human resources or people operations.
- Preferred background supporting venture or private equity-backed companies and familiarity with startup HR best practices.
- Strong business insight paired with a passion for people operations and results-oriented approach.
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal employment regulations.
- Capable of exercising independent judgment, providing solid client recommendations, and mitigating risks.
- Ability to handle multiple projects under changing priorities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and professional demeanor.
- High integrity and professionalism with the ability to manage confidential information.
- Self-driven with a strong work ethic and urgency mindset.
- Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, and recruiting systems such as Gusto, Zenefits, ADP, Namely, Rippling, Paychex, TriNet, and recruiting tools like Greenhouse and Lever.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.
- Experience handling mergers and acquisitions HR aspects.

Additional Notes
