Job description

Role Overview

This opportunity is presented on behalf of a partner employer, which will handle applications and all subsequent hiring steps. The position is for a U.S.-based HR Generalist focused on Talent and Benefits, offered as a contract-to-permanent role.

The role brings together HR operations, recruiting coordination, onboarding support, and benefits administration in a single, business-critical position. It is designed for someone who can help create a smooth employee experience from candidate stage through onboarding and ongoing HR support.

You will work in a remote-first environment and collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Operations, Finance, and outside vendors to keep hiring, onboarding, and benefits processes moving efficiently. Precision, strong organization, and clear communication are essential to deliver a consistent and professional employee journey.

This role offers the chance to contribute in a global, fast-growing setting where strong HR execution directly supports company performance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate recruiting activities by scheduling interviews, managing candidate communication, and helping hiring processes advance across several open requisitions at once.
  • Handle the full background screening workflow, including starting checks, monitoring progress, following up with vendors, and escalating any issues when needed.
  • Serve as the operational connection between Talent and Operations so onboarding needs such as system access, equipment, and day-one readiness are completed on time.
  • Support the planning and delivery of new hire orientation to provide employees with a structured, engaging, and informative onboarding experience.
  • Keep ATS and HRIS records accurate and current, while supporting reporting and data needs across HR functions.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement coverage, making sure enrollments and updates are processed correctly.
  • Act as a main contact for employee questions about benefits and help coordinate open enrollment communications, system changes, and related administration.
  • Work with Finance and Payroll to reconcile benefits invoices and ensure carrier files are processed accurately and on time.

Requirements

  • Background in HR operations, recruiting coordination, or HR generalist support, with a solid understanding of hiring and onboarding processes.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. employee benefits administration, including enrollments, vendor coordination, and basic compliance areas such as COBRA, ACA, and ERISA.
  • Familiarity with background screening workflows and vendors such as Checkr or comparable platforms.
  • Strong planning and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage hiring, onboarding, and benefits responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills for professional interaction with candidates, employees, and external partners.
  • Experience working with ATS and HRIS systems, with careful attention to data accuracy and system upkeep.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while coordinating effectively with distributed teams.
  • Prior exposure to both recruiting support and HR operations is preferred; experience supporting onboarding programs is a plus.

Benefits

  • Competitive pay based on experience, with a contract-to-permanent path.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Retirement savings support, such as a 401(k).
  • Flexible, remote-first work setup that supports balance between work and personal life.
  • Opportunities to grow through learning, development, and professional advancement.
  • Exposure to a global, high-growth organization with established HR systems and processes.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented environment centered on employee experience and operational quality.

Additional Information
