About the Team

The TikTok Product & Design organization plays a central role in the company’s global short-form video business. The product side supports growth, product development across multiple categories, service architecture, and underlying technical foundations to deliver high-quality user experiences. The global design group focuses on creating an excellent experience for hundreds of millions of users worldwide, helping people create, express, and discover, while bringing together designers and managers from different regions to work toward TikTok’s goals.

Role Overview

This HR Business Partner position supports the Product & Design organization and partners closely with leadership on people strategy, organization design, talent planning, performance management, employee relations, and data-driven decision-making across a fast-moving global environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior leaders to shape and implement an HR plan aligned with engineering, security, and privacy operations priorities.
• Serve as the main HRBP for a global business group, handling broad HR generalist and business partner responsibilities across multiple time zones and teams.
• Advise managers on organizational structure so global teams can respond quickly to regulatory changes and internal security programs.
• Support talent review, career development, and succession planning for specialized roles in engineering, privacy, security, and trust & safety.
• Handle difficult employee relations matters across regions, reducing risk while maintaining a culture of innovation and psychological safety.
• Run the full performance management cycle, including goal setting and calibration for technical and operational roles.
• Use people analytics to surface insights on team health, retention challenges, and organizational scaling needs.
• Partner with HR colleagues and Centers of Excellence to design tailored compensation, engagement, and hiring approaches for top product and design talent.

Qualifications

Candidates should bring substantial HR experience, HRBP exposure, strong communication and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a global, matrixed, multicultural organization. Experience with talent management, organizational design, and performance programs in high-growth environments is important, along with comfort using analytics tools to inform decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources, including at least 2 years in an HR Business Partner role.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing ability, with a track record of building trusted relationships with business leaders.
• Experience working in global, matrixed, and multicultural organizations, with the flexibility to adjust HR approaches as business needs change.
• Demonstrated ability to lead talent management, organizational design, and performance management in complex, fast-growing settings.
• Experience using data tools such as Tableau, Excel, or Power BI to analyze information, support decisions, and evaluate HR program impact.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting teams in a global high-growth technology company with compliance and security-related requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this role in the selected city is $108,000 to $220,400. Compensation can vary based on qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. In addition to base pay, the role may qualify for discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.
