Position Summary
The Director, HR Business Partner, will lead HR strategy and service delivery for specific business units, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and a critical link between the business and HR Centers of Excellence. This position involves managing and developing a team of HR professionals, aligning HR priorities with business objectives, and utilizing data-driven insights to inform talent management, organizational effectiveness, engagement, retention, and change management efforts. The role requires strong business insight, analytical skills, sound judgment, and influencing ability within a complex matrix organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Function as a key HR leader shaping HRBP priorities, delivery, and stakeholder expectations alongside HR Centers of Excellence and business executives.
- Lead, coach, and calibrate a team of HR professionals, ensuring consistent, high-quality HR counsel and decision support.
- Build influential relationships with business leaders, serving as a strategic advisor and translating business goals into effective HR strategies.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to evaluate organizational goals and workforce challenges, directing HR efforts to meet priority needs.
- Coordinate with HR Centers of Excellence to deliver comprehensive HR services including talent acquisition, development, performance management, rewards, inclusion, engagement, retention, operations, and change management.
- Proactively identify people-related risks and opportunities, guiding leaders and HR partners toward effective solutions.
- Leverage data and analytics to align people strategies with business outcomes and help stakeholders interpret HR initiatives' impacts.
- Develop clear communications and narratives to support leader decision-making based on data and organizational insights.
- Communicate effectively across all organizational levels and facilitate in various group settings.
- Coach leaders and staff on workforce challenges, enhancing team capabilities and leadership development.
- Embody continuous improvement in processes, service delivery, culture, and leadership effectiveness.
- Manage stakeholder engagement within the organization to implement people strategies and overcome barriers.
- Conduct ongoing analysis of external market trends impacting workforce and organizational strategies.
- Remain current on employment laws and advise on policy compliance updates.
- Support and enhance SCA Health’s culture and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across all functions.
Qualifications
- Over 10 years experience in progressive HR roles within fast-paced, complex, and high-volume environments.
- Healthcare, multi-site, or geographically diverse workforce experience preferred, along with HR certifications like SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR.
- Minimum 5 years leading HR operations in regional, divisional, or matrixed setups.
- Minimum 5 years managing and developing high-performing HR teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related discipline.
- Exceptional skills in stakeholder management and the ability to collaborate effectively across organizational levels.
- Strong influencing, consulting, coaching expertise with a history of data-driven strategy execution.
- Ability to cover strategic, operational, and tactical HR functions with a service-oriented approach.
- Experience driving organizational change and promoting mindset and behavioral shifts among leadership.
- Excellent communication skills, including facilitation for both small and large groups.
- Proven commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- High ethical standards, with discretion in managing sensitive information.
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills within ambiguous environments.
- Strong business acumen and data literacy.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills; familiarity with HR platforms such as UKG Pro, Workday, or ADP is a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $180,000 per year.
