Role Overview
Join Daniels Health as a Field Service Technician dedicated to supporting UVA Health with essential medical waste management. This position requires active physical involvement and offers an opportunity to contribute to a vital healthcare mission by ensuring safe and efficient medical waste services.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage directly with UVA hospital staff to perform prompt and secure exchanges of medical waste containers while ensuring accurate segregation practices.
- Conduct inspections and maintenance of Daniels Health containers within clinical areas, including entry into procedural rooms and working around sensitive equipment and patients.
- Regularly lift containers weighing up to 50 pounds and maneuver carts up to 300 pounds throughout the workday.
- Maintain precise inventory records, ensuring all clinical areas are adequately stocked and organized.
- Utilize a company-issued smartphone to manage daily tasks, report any issues, and communicate efficiently with the team.
- Keep staging zones clean and well-ordered before and after completing service routines.
- Exemplify professionalism, a positive outlook, and a strong work ethic as a representative of Daniels Health.
Candidate Profile
- Physically fit and comfortable performing rigorous manual tasks including heavy lifting and continuous movement.
- A proactive team player who can also operate independently without direct supervision.
- Exceptional attention to detail, especially in managing documentation and following established procedures.
- Possession of reliable personal transportation to reliably reach the worksite.
- A positive, can-do mindset supported by prior experience in labor-intensive or logistics roles.
