Traveling Field Service Technician - Inova Hospitals (5am to 1pm)

Position Overview

Daniels Health is seeking a motivated Traveling Field Service Technician to provide essential medical waste services at multiple Inova hospital locations, including Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, VA. This role requires active involvement outside of office settings, emphasizing physical activity and direct interaction with healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive personal vehicle to various hospital campuses during the workweek, with mileage reimbursed for travel.
• Collaborate closely with hospital staff to ensure safe and efficient medical waste container exchanges and segregation.
• Conduct inspections and maintenance of Daniels Health containers in clinical and procedural areas, including sensitive environments with patients and specialized equipment.
• Handle physical tasks involving lifting containers weighing up to 50 pounds and maneuvering carts up to 300 pounds.
• Manage container inventory, ensuring all clinical areas are adequately stocked and well organized.
• Utilize a company-issued smartphone to oversee daily assignments, report problems, and maintain team communication.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of staging zones before and after service activities.
• Exemplify professionalism, a positive demeanor, and a strong work ethic as a representative of Daniels Health.

Candidate Requirements

• Physically capable and comfortable with demanding activities, including substantial lifting and continuous movement.
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently without direct supervision.
• Strong meticulousness, particularly in handling documentation and following procedural protocols.
• Reliable transportation is necessary for traveling among various Inova healthcare sites.
• Possess a proactive, can-do mindset and preferably have prior experience in logistics or physically intensive roles.
