Overview
Concorde Education is inviting experienced professionals to join as independent instructional contractors for delivering Introduction to Nursing and healthcare career exploration sessions. These assignments are onsite at partner schools, primarily focusing on high school students, conducted in-person after school hours, typically spanning about 10 weeks. The schedule usually involves 1 to 4 instructional hours weekly, with opportunities becoming available throughout the school year. Compensation commonly starts at $50 or more per completed instructional hour, varying based on the scope, experience, and location.
Role Responsibilities
- Design and deliver interactive, age-appropriate nursing and healthcare career sessions.
- Introduce foundational nursing concepts, patient care principles, and healthcare professions through engaging discussions and activities.
- Tailor instruction based on student experience, site requirements, and classroom resources.
- Assist students in exploring healthcare career paths via demonstrations, case studies, and collaborative projects.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
- Communicate any assignment needs or concerns with Concorde and school personnel.
- Submit brief reports after each session.
- Comply with all applicable site policies, including safety, visitor protocols, and student protection procedures.

Qualifications
- Minimum 60 college credits where required by assignment.
- Relevant professional experience in nursing, healthcare, health sciences, public health, or related fields.
- Experience working with school-age students through teaching, tutoring, coaching, or mentoring.
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Availability aligning with assignment schedules and ability to promptly address scheduling issues.
- Ability to present healthcare topics in an engaging and age-appropriate manner.
Preferred Backgrounds
Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Health Science Educators, Nursing Students, Medical Assistants, EMTs, Allied Health Professionals, Public Health Professionals, Healthcare Instructors, or others with relevant clinical or instructional experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Materials and Resources
Contractors may utilize provided classroom technology, curriculum resources, presentation tools, and career exploration materials. Use of personal instructional materials is permitted if appropriate, lawful, safe, and consistent with assignment guidelines. Prior approval is required for reimbursable purchases.
Compensation and Payment
Contractors negotiate rates based on assignment scope considering preparation, commute, materials, and scheduling. Typical pay is $50+ per instructional hour completed. Payment is generally processed by direct deposit by the 15th of the month following service completion. All compensation terms are agreed upon before assignment acceptance.

Selected candidates may be invited to create contractor profiles and complete onboarding steps. Hiring is contingent upon assignment fit, compensation agreement, background checks, and any site-specific clearances. Applicants should not submit criminal history unless formally requested through compliant procedures.
