Overview

Concorde Education is offering contract roles as independent instructional contractors to deliver enriching healthcare career and Introduction to Nursing educational sessions. These positions are on-site at various partner schools and primarily aim at high school students. The assignments typically last around 10 weeks and require 1 to 4 instructional hours weekly, mostly scheduled after regular school hours.

Assignment Details

Contractors will provide in-person teaching services, adapting to diverse school settings, grade levels, and available resources. Curriculum guidance and materials may be provided, but instructors have the flexibility to tailor sessions based on student needs and program goals.

• Plan and conduct age-appropriate, engaging nursing and healthcare career exploration activities.
• Introduce core nursing principles, healthcare roles, and patient care basics through interactive lessons.
• Customize teaching methods considering students' prior knowledge and site specifications.
• Facilitate healthcare career pathway exploration using case studies, demonstrations, and projects.
• Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment at all times.
• Report any significant concerns or resource needs to Concorde and school officials.
• Complete session reporting documentation after each class.
• Adhere to all school safety protocols, including emergency, visitor, technology, and student protection policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 60 college credits if required by assignment or site regulations.
• Professional background in nursing, healthcare, public health, or related health sciences fields.
• Experience working with school-aged youth through teaching, mentoring, coaching, or tutoring.
• Strong verbal communication, organizational capability, and classroom management skills.
• Available to accommodate accepted assignment schedules and promptly communicate any changes.
• Ability to convey healthcare topics clearly and engagingly to young learners.

Preferred candidates may include registered nurses, licensed practical or vocational nurses, nursing assistants, health science educators, students in nursing, EMTs, medical assistants, and allied health professionals with applicable instructional or clinical experience.

Materials and Resources

Schools may supply technology, presentation tools, curriculum materials, and other resources. Contractors may also utilize their instructional resources when appropriate and consistent with site policies. Any reimbursements for expenses require prior written approval from Concorde.

Compensation

Pay is dependent on assignment details and negotiated terms, commonly starting at $50 or more per instructional hour completed with students. Contractors may propose their compensation rate during application, which Concorde will consider based on assignment scope and budget. Payments are typically issued by direct deposit mid-month following the month in which the services were rendered.

Selected applicants may be invited to complete profile creation and onboarding steps. Assignment acceptance depends on fit, compensation agreement, background checks, compliance with Fair Chance laws, and site-specific clearances. Background checks and fingerprinting may be necessary before starting, and applicants should only submit criminal history details if formally requested through appropriate channels.
