Healthcare Assistant - Ward 27, Medicine

Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to take on permanent Healthcare Assistant roles at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. These opportunities are available full-time and part-time within Ward 27, Medicine. Successful candidates will join a supportive team committed to providing excellent patient care and will benefit from a thorough induction to fully prepare them from the outset.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist registered nurses in delivering safe, caring support to patients.
• Help patients with daily living activities including washing, eating, drinking, and ensuring safe mobility.
• Monitor and document basic health indicators and promptly report concerns to nursing staff.
• Maintain cleanliness, order, and organization of the ward environment.
• Support with basic administrative duties as needed.
• Adapt to working across various wards while adhering to training, organizational policies, and safety protocols.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills, kindness, and respect tailored to individual patient needs.
