Role Overview
Join the healthcare team at Elstree Diagnostic Treatment Centre as a Healthcare Assistant delivering patient-focused outpatient and diagnostic care. The role involves assisting clinical teams and supporting patients through their healthcare journey, ensuring safe and high-quality clinical assistance within a dynamic environment.
Work Schedule and Location
- Work location: Elstree Diagnostic Treatment Centre, Beaufort House, Elstree Rd, Elstree, Borehamwood WD6 3BS.
- Flexible weekday shifts: 8:00am – 4:00pm, 12:00pm – 8:00pm, or 8:00am – 8:00pm.
- Mandatory working two Saturdays per month (8:00am – 1:00pm).
- Full-time hours total 37.5 per week.
- Driving ability is essential due to location accessibility requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and emotional support to patients in outpatient and diagnostic settings.
- Perform delegated clinical duties including vital signs monitoring, ECG assistance, venepuncture, and cannulation.
- Aid smooth patient flow during admissions and discharges.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming care environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous Healthcare Assistant experience in clinical or outpatient care preferred.
- Competency or willingness to be trained in clinical observations and basic procedures.
- Experience with ECGs, venepuncture, or cannulation advantageous.
- Strong dedication to providing patient-centered care and excellent customer service.
- Effective communication, teamwork skills, and proactive initiative-taking ability.
