The role offers a competitive salary depending on experience, along with benefits such as pension, health cover, flexible benefits, excellent career development, and shift enhancement.
HCA Healthcare UK is looking for a caring, empathetic person who is committed to excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will naturally go the extra mile, build trust with patients, and provide reassurance, comfort, and support so that every person feels respected and well looked after.
About the hospital
The hospital is a newly opened, purpose-built, multi-specialty site serving Birmingham and the West Midlands. It combines leading consultants, advanced medical technology, and modern facilities to deliver a new standard of private inpatient and outpatient care.
Services include diagnostic imaging and a broad range of medical specialties, including orthopaedics, cardiology, and specialist cancer care. The site includes 50 private en-suite inpatient beds, 16 private day care beds, modern outpatient services, four operating theatres, a fully equipped day-care unit with outpatient chemotherapy and radiotherapy services, an onsite pharmacy, and a dedicated intensive treatment unit.
What the role involves
Working under the direction of a registered nurse, you will support clinical activity through patient observations, investigations, and basic treatments as needed. You will also help with chaperoning patients and support medical staff with day-to-day tasks.

- Act as a chaperone when required.
Candidate profile
The successful applicant should have completed, or be actively working towards, the Care Certificate or an equivalent qualification. Prior experience in a hospital or outpatient environment is essential.
Hands-on phlebotomy experience and experience carrying out ECGs are both required. You should also have experience supporting outpatient procedure clinics.
Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a professional approach to patient interaction are important for this position.
